This room’s theme is based on a true story. Captain Kidd was a real pirate! Captain Kidd, a Scottish privateer, was tried and hung in 1701 for piracy. Legend states that he buried treasure along the coasts of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. You have been hired to investigate a recently discovered ship that is believed to be Captain Kidd’s lost vessel, Adventure Galley. It is said to be haunted by Captain Kidd himself and has hidden clues that, if solved, will reveal a map that leads to his most prized treasures.
***Mobility Limitations*** – This room has a stairwell as well as a wooden ladder that must used for complete access to all areas of the game. The game can be accommodated to be played without the use of the ladder but the stairs are necessary. Please contact us with any questions.
We got to test a new pirate room at the new location yesterday and it was awesome! We had so much fun. We were a mix of new and familiar people to escape rooms and everyone left saying it was a great experience.
The new location is amazing, and if what the Captain Kidd room has to offer, is any indication of the rest of the new rooms...then how lucky are we to have this spot right here in Saint John! So fun, and so well done. Congratulations on the new space!
I tried out the Captain Kidd room with a group and it was amazing! The room is really well done and a great challenge. Can’t wait to see ‘The Heist’ room when it’s ready!! Great experience, great new location and a fun way to spend a day/night. If you are in SJ, you need to check out Breakout.
My whole family met at the Breakout location in Saint John on December 23rd. We were such a large group so we were split up into two groups, One was kid friendly( Captain Kidd) and an adult only(Trapped) We had a blast. The staff was unbelievable! They were quick to set us up and very helpful. We definitely plan to do it again soon. Everyone enjoyed the challenge and the time went quickly. The rooms are clean and well displayed.
One of the Best We’ve Done We have done numerous escape rooms, mostly in Edmonton, but also in other cities. This ranks as one of the best we’ve seen. The room my daughter chose was the Captain Kidd one. Upon entering, we knew we were in for a treat. There were two levels, and we could tell a lot of thought and effort went into the design. We weren’t disappointed. At home, we normally bring a friend for my daughter. We were a little handicapped here, with just the three of us. A fourth person would have enabled us to work in twos on different things. Then we would have gotten our for sure. (Excuses, excuses) The staff was friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this escape room.
